A simple Idea!

Why can't every artists or poet be apart of the over 7 billion dollar a year greeting card business?

That's how we started by answering that question! So we went about finding how we could change the dynamics by creating a different type of art and poetry social networking community. Artists and poets hookup, market their work and make money! Each working together for a common purpose, but all uniquely different and individual. Thousand of little companies creating a larger presents, simply by being together.

 At thecardartists every artists member has complete control over their business down too invoicing. It's their work and they should have control over their work. We gave artists a password protected back office that lets them track orders.  We also wanted to give the artists tools to market their art, promote their cards and make some good money. So we created a e-commerce, artist social networking community with tons of features.

I'm  Linda, one of the co-founders and welcome to thecardartists.com.  I live in Henderson, Nevada along with my husband and son who is 10 years old. I'm an artist with a Bachelors of Art from Ohio State and a Masters in Painting from Tyler School of Art , Temple University  Philadelphia, PA and Temple Abroad in Rome Italy.  I lived in New York City for most of my life and moved to Henderson, Nevada eight years ago .

The site is a ongoing project always evolving. We invite artists and poets to join us and take advantage of this really great project that we somehow became obsession with (that's in a good way)!

I would like to thank my husband Richard for his tireless work in bring this site along.This has been a 18 month project to get here.

I also would like to thank  Szekelyd Denes who did the backend work on this site and continues  to provide the expertise to make it possible. He's an incredible programer and really cool person.
